The Merritt House was constructed at the turn of the century and sits directly on the banks of Upper Saranac Lake. The last home situated on a dead end road affords privacy and stunning Adirondack scenery.
Merritt House has five bedrooms, four baths, a spacious dining hall, full kitchen, great room with a beautiful stone fireplace and a large deck overlooking the water.
Enjoy swimming from the private beach, hiking, boating or just relaxing by a crackling fire with a good book.
Impeccably maintained, Merritt House gives visitors a feeling of nostalgia, of going back to an era when Great Camps became an icon of the Adirondack region. Accessible by car, guests will find themselves a short drive to Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake or Lake Placid where activities are plentiful.
The Main House affords a public gathering area, television, games, billiards and a library. Being one of only nine camps, the main areas are seldom crowded. Each bedroom hosts two twin beds except for the master which has a queen bed. Each bathroom has claw foot tubs for bathing.
Merritt House sleeps 8-10 people comfortably and rents for two week intervals during the summer months.
Weekly: $5000 (taxes included)
Cleaning fee: $200 (one time charge)
